Shutterbug

We are a missionary family.  I want to record all of the stuff we do for "work" so we can remember and journal it.  Its hard to find a good kit that works for speaking engagements and presentations.  Digilicious Designs has a great kit called Shutterbug.  Right now its 40% off at theStudio Here is the kit.

These layouts were from our first couple of speaking engagements at our church, one for the adults and the second for the kids.  The kit comes with an alpha but also has an additional alpha has an add-on that I had lots of fun using for my titles.  Sadly we were at the mercy of other photographers so the photo quality was low but at least we got something that captured the moment.

The Bunny Trail

I have found the best way to build your scrap stash is to follow the designer's blogs.  I have recently gotten 2-3 full kits this way.  Using a RSS reader such as Google Reader makes it easy to see when someone updates their blog, without visiting the site everyday.  Recently I got this kit from Scrappin' Serenity.

The kit's colors were ones I wouldn't have normally picked but it challenged me and I think my pages turned out great!  This 2 page spread is what we did at home to celebrate Easter.  I still have to scrap the 2 Egg hunts we did with our playgroup and church.

Mothers & Daughters

Recently the artists at theStudio made coordinating kits with the theme "Mothers and Daughters" and the same colors.  Some designers even made Mothers and Sons kits as well.  You can check out all the part HERE. I should say that I am a sucker for anything purple.  I really liked how my page turned out.  I used the Digilicious Mothers and Daughters mini kit.

This second page started out as a challenge entry.  The challenge was to decorate your words.  You can see the title is much fancier and more embellished than I have done in the past.  But I liked how it turned out.  The photo frame with ribbon and flower was 1 complete element so it was an easy add to the page as well.  In addition to the Digilicious Mini Kit I used her Alpha, Cardstock pack and a few elements from a freebie add-on from Aveziur

You can pick up the full bundle from Digilicious Designs at theStudio.  Go check it out!

Always and Forever

I got to play with Digilicious recent kit called Always and Forever this week.  Its both elegant and fun.  I liked the simple color pallet that would go with any color wedding.

You can pick up the kit now at theStudio during Digilicious' Spring sale.

Sublime Lime

Last month at theStudio Digilicious Designs was featured.  You could pick up a mini kit from her new Sublime Lime collection, the first of her "Color My World Series" and make a page.  Here is one of the pages I made.  I wasn't sure about the lime color but I made it work.

New Blog

I have ventured more deeply into digital scrapbooking and have now decided to create a place for it, instead of taking up space on our family blog.  I am now on my first creative team for Digilicious Designs and will be showing off her products as well as the pages I make.  I use GIMP to make my pages.
