ABCs of LIfe

Scrapping is a great way to create memorable, personalized christmas gifts.  Calendars and memory books have been shared in the past in my family.  Snickerdoodle Designs latest collection is geared at helping you make that special project beautiful and fast.

Inspired by an old gift, she gave her granddaughter, she created a simple collection based on the ABCs so all you have to do fill in the pictures, add quotes and titles and you're done!

I spent less than an hour and made these 2 great pages from our Thanksgiving trip to the beach.

Busted by Snickerdoodle Designs

Today I caught my 2 year old happily sitting on the coffee table watching TV.  He had climbed over the armrest of the couch to get there.  Busted!  I didn't think to grab my camera until it was too late but there is a great new kit to scrap those "busted" moments by Snickerdoodle Designs and KimberKatt Scraps.

Last round of Layout Contest

So the contest had some unintended results.  I was contacted personally by one of the designers at the Studio to be personally invited to join their CT team!  Now I just have to make up my mind.  For all the artists that didn't make it in the later rounds there is a side contest.  The winners get a guest spot on theStudio CT team for a month.  FOr the last week of competition we had to make 2 pages with various requirements.  Here are my final two pages for the contest.

Life is taking over

Life is taking over at our house and my scrapping is taking a backseat for the next several months as we purchase our first house, celebrate the holidays and become a family of 5.  When we make changes we make them count!  I have stepped back from my CT duties but will still be scrapping when I can find the time, and hopefully remember to share it here.

I participated in a fun contest this month at theStudio.  I made it through 3 of 4 weeks before being eliminated.  It was a lot of fun to work with some new kits and be challenged by the other contestants.

Give Thanks by Two Moose Designs

The story behind the page:  My son turned 2 and we did a variety of activities over the week to celebrate.  On his actual birthday he made a crown for him to wear, we skyped with the grandparents, and ate cupcakes.  The funny part of this page is when he was eating his cupcake he was way more in to the Thomas train he had just opened than the cupcake in front of him.  The picture was luck.  You care read about the rest of his birthday week on our family blog.

Introducing a New Design Team!

There is a new design team in digi-land!  You have seen these 2 designers collaborate before and now they are ready to do it all the time.  Scrappy Cocoa and Nibbles Scribbles are teaming up to become Two Moose Designs.  Don't worry neither one is going anywhere with their own stores either!  They are selling exclusively at the Studio.  They have redone some favorite collaborations and have a great new kit called New Beginnings.

The template I used is the next release by Two Moose Designs, look for it soon!  Find Two Moose Designs on Facebook and pick up an add on to the New Beginnings collection.

Rainbow Tea Party Collab

A great group of designers at the Studio have teamed up to create a Rainbow Tea Party.  It is a great kit full of party elements and lots of bright colors.  Did I mention Jelly Beans and Balloons?

There are several bundle options, and a big pack of coordinating styles available as well.  Here is some inspiration:

Ready to Learn by Nibbles Scribbles

The summer went so fast and we didn't even go anywhere.  We did finish our first year of preschool at home.  We celebrated with a special trip for ice cream.

I used Nibbles Scribbles new back to school kit, "Ready to Learn".  There are is an add-on available in the back to school forum at theStudio, and a great hybrid project on Manda's blog.
